Science is all around
This project is about encouraging students from all over Europe to study science
– How?
Making science attractive through research and experimentation
The main objective of this project is the exchange of good practices among students from different countries. In other words, we want students, under equal conditions, to show more interest in the study of STEM subjects as a result of methodological changes. This project will involve not only students with good academic results, but also students with special educational needs, or even students at risk of dropping out of school
To achieve this, we intend to attract more females to the study of STEM subjects as an opportunity, like any other, to get a foothold in society; to increase the qualitative character of the STEM subjects offered in partner schools in order to develop students’ interest in science, whatever their academic level; and to contextualize, at least, one didactic unit for each branch of science worked on to bring them closer to the students’ day-to-day life
We aim to give the five mobilities a scientific congress format, with all the details and paraphernalia included in a real scientific congress
The congresses are the core line of the project, and a large number of activities, products and events will be generated before, during and after each one of them
The project will reach a minimum of 600 students (of which 50 will participate in the mobilities) aged between 15 and 19, from low and upper-level secondary students, as well as about 60 teachers including STEM teachers and other teachers from other subjects. A minimum of 600 families (50 in mobilities) and some companies, universities and museums will also be involved
