BIOLOGY LESSON PLAN

1. PURPOSES

• Develop an interest in scientific research

• Understand the importance of biology as the basis for the future of living beings.

• Participate actively and responsibly in the advance of biology.

2. OBJECTIVES

• Understand the difference between biological and chemical processes.

• Develop the ability to design and participate in applied research projects in the fields of Biology.

• Acquire sufficient skills for the oral, written and multimedia dissemination of biological knowledge.

3. CONTENTS

• Scientific methodology and development of research projects

• Living beings: composition and function

• The evolution of life

• Health and sickness

4.ACTIVITIES

• Perform practices in the laboratory

• Go out into the field to observe and collect samples.

• Perform multimedia practices

• Conduct workshops with living beings

5. EXAMPLES

Biology is important in our lives for several reasons:

– Food: Organic food is intended to contribute to a more natural and nutritious diet.

– Health: Biology helpsunderstand the cellular and molecular process origin of numerous biological processes and of various diseases and pathologies that are of particular interest in Health Sciences.

-Environment: Biology provides great solutions for the conservation and preservation of the environment, with the intention of minimizing the factors that intervene in the existence of living beings.

-Hygiene: Study of pathogens and diseases and healthy habits.
